 Avon and Somerset Police are examining video footage from Glastonbury Festival to determine if criminal offences were committed during performances by bands Bob Vylan and Kneecap on Saturday afternoon.

Whoopi Gets Whipped

 United Nations Watch's Hillel Neuer says there is a double standard when it comes to talking about race.

This comes after Whoopi Goldberg was suspended by the ABC in the US for saying the Holocaust was not about race.

"When something in the past few years has been said by a celebrity that remotely has been seen to be pejorative against blacks or gays or women, or certain other minorities, they've been fired immediately," Mr Neuer told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

"Here we have a very bizarre statement made about the Holocaust, that the Holocaust wasn't about racism when Hitler spoke his entire time about master race and about Jews being an inferior race. "And ... she merely gets a suspension.

"This ought to be a teachable moment which is that there is a strange discourse in America about race."

Kamala Harris and 'Ethnic Genocide' in Israel

As Harris took questions after speaking, one of the female students voiced her concerns about US financial and military support for Israel and Saudi Arabia. 'I see that over the summer there have been, like, protests and demonstrations standing with Palestine, but then just a few days ago there were funds allocated to continue backing Israel, which hurts my heart because it's ethnic genocide and displacement of people, the same that happened in America, and I'm sure you're aware of this,' the student said, as Harris nodded without challenging the comment.

Durban IV, Anti-Israel Bias

 The Durban conference, first convened by the UN 20 years ago, aimed to become “a landmark in the struggle to eradicate all forms of racism.” Instead it degenerated into a hallmark of antisemitism and anti-Zionism.

Numerous countries are boycotting the Durban IV meeting in September 2021 as a result.

False Charges that Israel Is Racist

Every few years there is a voice that emerges which seeks to brand Israel or its leaders as racist. The most famous case of this anti-Israel charge was the decision of the UN General Assembly in November 1975 to brand Zionism, the national liberation movement of the Jewish people, as racism. Israel's ambassador to the UN at the time, Chaim Herzog, speaking in the name of the Jewish people as a whole, responded by saying that the resolution was based on hatred, falsehood, and arrogance. It was devoid of any moral or legal value.
