 The phenomenon of Israeli Christian enlistment to the Israeli army continues to expand. This time it’s an officer! And a girl!

For Israeli Jews finishing high school, service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is mandatory. But growing numbers of Arabic-speaking Christians are joining forces with their Jewish countrymen.

Some of these brave young Christian men and women receive death threats and are beaten by local Arabs who regard their IDF service as treasonous. Read one young soldier’s testimony here and the troubles Arab politicians are giving these young dedicated Christian soldiers. The situation got so bad that the Israeli Knesset (parliament) passed a bill designed to protect Christians who enlist in the Israeli army.
