One Year Into the Abraham Accords
August 13, 2021 marks the one-year anniversary of a peace deal much of the world never saw coming. The Abraham Accords, initially involving Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), soon opened other doors. Despite Iran’s growing threats to the region, the new friendship between Israel and the UAE is still going strong.

Israel and Sudan Normalise Ties
Sudan is set to become the third Arab country to normalise ties with Israel.
The US-brokered deal was announced by President Donald Trump, who says at least five more Arab states want the same agreement.
Following the UAE and Bahrain's similar deals, the Palestinians are calling Sudan's move "a new stab in the back".

Israeli Models in Dubai
Israeli May Tager has become the first model from her country to pose for a photoshoot in the United Arab Emirates, after the two nations agreed to normalise relations last month.
She posed in modest pyjamas during a desert shoot alongside a UAE-based model known as Anastasia.
Israel and the United Arab Emirates on Aug. 13 agreed to normalise relations, making the UAE the first Gulf country and the third Arab state to do so when a final agreement is signed.
